SUMMER CAMP CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Roaring into Robots: Ages 8-14 This exciting class teaches how to build and program the LEGO® Mindstorms NXT robots. You will use your new skills to meet challenges such as moving objects to different locations; knocking out bottles; following a line; sweeping items off a table or beating your opponent at Sumo. You don’t need any experience with robotics or programming to begin your robotics adventure. Students who took our robotics After School Class can take this for a more solid foundation or move on to the Advanced Robot Challenges.

Design a room, make it look the way you want, add objects and play your game. We’ll teach you how to display health, lives, scores and high score tables. Using drag and drop programming, you will be creating exciting, professional looking games you can play with your friends. If you’ve taken our Game Creation After School Class, this class goes into greater depth and reinforces previous learning. *Students will take home a CD with a free copy of the GameMaker® software and copies of their games.
